The “blob of tea” trend

bubble tea queue

Bubble tea is a tea-based drink and is easily recognizable by the large, colorful tapioca balls floating in the drink.

It is usually black or green tea but can be customized with a range of syrups such as peach, strawberry,  or lychee. If you have never tried it before, start with a simple Boba milk tea. (the drink itself can be tea or juice). It is commonly referred to as "tea juice" or, if you are particularly partial, "boba juice" or even "bubble juice."

But when the New York Times denigrated bubble milk tea as a "blob of tea," boba enthusiasts in America rolled their eyes. The debate rages on about which place has the best, chewiest rabble, and behind all this there are a few contradictory stories. Boba businesses used to only exist in the US and China (once, until 15 years ago), now they are flourishing across America.

Indeed, it has gradually become a widespread cultural phenomenon and has become trendy in places like New York City, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New Jersey.

People have been drinking bubble tea since the ’90s, and it has never been as popular as it is today. People are queuing in front of the famous Tiger Sugar and Boba guys. People can be delivered bubble tea in a box with boomtea.co. So, do you still think bubble tea is a trend?
